Meltem Cumbul appears in Golden Globe Awards

Hello,everyone! Today my subject can be found absurd after my previous writings.
Yesterday,I was watching Golden Globe Awards and suddenly I noticed very familiar face. It was Zeyno from my childhood TV serial 'Yılan Hikayesi'.As we all know she is Meltem Cumbul who is also actress of Gönül Yarası which is one of the most famous and good qualified movies in Türkiye.

I've seen lots of arguments about the subject from her clothes to her gestures. What did she do? What did she say? Actually, I do not care what she wear on instead I appriciate her as a Turkish audience. She went there and say Turkish word 'herkese iyi geceler '. Plus (+) she added peace by adding our national hero Atatürk's sayings.It was in English ,but it was a mandatory in her position to speak English.

It is an indicator of her success across the Globe. Before that I clearly remember that she was the announcer in Eurovision song contest when it was Türkiye's turn to present it. Such an international event has proved that The world knows her.Thanks her for representing Türkiye.

One for ALL,all for VAN

This video reveals our common sense to the natural disasters through international language music. As our blogs are free and we can choose every subject we like I chose this video which shows us the problematic issue of Van. The last days of 2011 were full of terrible experiences with earthquakes. Van was the city where is sufferers from. Lost of people have died and many children are parentless,now. We will see its most of its effects day by day.

Most of us do not even think about the horrible situation there. We may know the weather is harder than Ankara,but since we do not live there we cannot understand them throughly. As you can see from the video, the music makes us feel and grab it.
I hope the aid bags are delivered to the right persons properly.

Also , I like to present you the fear inside Van's dwellers by adding my acquantice's sayings:'I am afraid of any sound nowadays, I can jump from the window when I feel any vibration.I do not want to come home or sleep very long.I need to be prepared or ready when it shakes.And most of my colleques (teacher) died.How can I be sure that it is not my turn.'

Being sensitive and considerate is not seemed important to us.However,we should send aids immeadiately since they are in need of those kind of helps.

I wish for all healty ,happy and peaceful year without any earthquake.

Life in METU





Being a student in METU has more advantages than disadvantages.
Firstly,METU has plenty of social activities.One can find an appropriate community to join according to his/her own interest.For instance,I attend hip-hop dance lessons,the Japanese language classes and course partnership project for the blind.

Secondly,you will encounter many students from different countries so you need to speak English frequently.By using English more often,most probably you will be more fluent in English and improve yourself on this language.

Thirdly,after the graduation you will totally understand how much important being a Metu student since the oppurtinuties of this university will open the doors of occupations.However,I want to share the difficulties in METU's online tools.I'm sure lots of students experience the same problems with me in terms of PC.Actually I haven't still seen my courses on METU Online.When teachers send us homeworks or worksheets,generally I am not aware of them.Long before that (in the registration period) the trouble was the incorrect assignment of computer program which check in me section 3 although my surname suits section 4.I had to put it into order in add&drop term.Nowadays, all of FLE 133 students have the difficulties in arranging their blog and wikispaces.I don't know how we can handle it without Işıl Hoca's help. :)

I do not have a demanding adaptation process since my friends and teachers are warm and friendly.I just cannot get used to walking instantly. Even library takes my half our on foot from our department.Also the 0y adaptation process must be easier than the other students as a result of which I've been living in Ankara for 18 years.

In short,METU is a complex place but day by day we see the advantagestc.(holding an occupation,social activities,etc.) and disadvantages(the distance between the departments,etc.).Hopefully,we will notice more advantages than disadvantages.

İki Dil Bir Bavul - Fragman

What an interesting film ! Unlike most of the purposeless Turkish Films this movie represents the difference between west and east of Türkiye.You will notice being a teacher is really holy occupation.
As a student of Teacher Training Department ,I strongly advise you to watch the movie.Because sometimes I notice that some of you despise on this profession.I hope that this film may change your mind and make you realize how beautiful and hard it is.I want to be a teacher like Feride from Çalıkuşu or Emre in this movie. They encounter difficulties but never give up and let their students down.
Also,this movie is not a real movie.There is neither senario nor actors in it.Every person is from real life,every dialog based on daily routine.Probably you will notice that while watching.
The movie has several awards (I think it deserves more).
I hope you will watch it and grab my sayings. Best wishes...

Yes, I Would Love another Cup of Tea | Evet Bir Bardak Daha Çay İstiyorum

TÜRK ÇAYI

After watching is video you will understand the importance of tea. Actually, I do not notice tea can reflect us so perfectly.Also I need to confess that I was not drinking it that much.However,I decided to drink it much than ever since the video affected me so much.Frankly, I can't help sending this link through e-mail to my friends and relatives even my foreigner acquaintances.

As a Türk,as a Muslim I think we have been understood wrongly.We are not terrorists or barbarians who can damage others. You will ask what is the point of this when Nihansu was talking about the video. By seeing the video you will understand what I meant.

Also,I intend to read the book which she mentioned to understand her better.You know what actually I found this video accidentally when I was looking for my Turkish assignment about presentation.'Neye niyet,neye kısmet?'It is really funny.
